Company Renewals

Companies should review all information carefully to avoid issues and additional costs when renewing licenses. Use the checklist below to ensure you are on track for renewals. For further assistance with completing these checklist items, please check out our renewal guides.

  • Access the Renewal Portal
  • Review Company Information
    • Ensure the information displayed in the renewal portal is accurate.
    • If the renewal is paid with an incorrect mailing address on file and the licenses are mailed to the incorrect address, replacement cards will have to be paid for to have them reissued.
  • Current Insurance is on File
    • A current insurance policy must be on file with the SPD to renew a company license.
    • Note that all insurance updates, including those submitted online, require processing time to be verified by the SPD.
    • Do not wait until the last day to submit documentation.
  • Renew a Designated Certified Operator (DCO) License
    • At least one Designated Certified Operator (DCO) must be renewed prior to or at the same time the company license is renewed.
  • Renew Certified Operators
    • Companies may choose to renew Certified Operators associated with their company license. Certified Operators will also receive their own renewal notice by email.
    • Please note that even if a company pays for a Certified Operator’s renewal, the license card will be mailed to the address on file for the Certified Operator.
  • Renew Registered Employees
    • Carefully review the list of Registered Employees and remove any who are no longer employed prior to renewing. The GDA cannot issue refunds if an employee is renewed on accident.
    • Please take note of any Registered Employees that failed to meet the requirements to renew in one or more of their licensed categories. They will no longer be licensed to operate in any cancelled categories.
  • Pay Renewal Fees
    • Renewal fees must be paid for renewals to be processed.
  • Receive Licenses
    • If after renewing you have not received your new license cards in 60 days, reach out to the SPD.

Certified Operator Renewals

Certified Operator licenses may be renewed by the Certified Operator or by the Company that employs them. It is the Certified Operator’s responsibility to ensure their license is renewed.

To renew a Certified Operator License as a company, please follow the steps in the Renewal Guide. To renew a Certified Operator License as the Certified Operator, please log in to the renewal portal under your license number, verify your information is correct, and submit payment according to the onscreen instructions.  After selecting your method of payment, the total amount due will display on the screen before your payment is submitted.

Certified Operators license cards will be mailed to the address on file. Please make sure both your mailing address and email address are correctly listed in your certified operator online portal. To update a mailing address, please email pest@agr.georgia.gov and include your SP number with your message.

Registered Employee Renewals

Registered Employee licenses are renewed and paid for by the company that employs them. New license cards will be sent to the company’s mailing address.

Registered employees are unable to renew their own licenses, and employees must be registered with a company to have their license renewed.

For instructions on renewing registered employee licenses, please see the SPD 2025 License Renewal Guide.
