Georgia Hemp Program

Under the authority of the Georgia Hemp Farming Act, the Georgia Department of Agriculture (GDA) is authorized to regulate the cultivation and processing of hemp in the State of Georgia.

The 2021 Hemp Grower License and Processor Permit window has now closed. 2022 renewals started November 2, 2021 for currently licensed/permitted growers and processors. The 2022 Georgia Hemp Grower License and Processor Permit window will reopen in January for all new applicants.

Note - When applying for a 2022 Hemp Grower License or Processor Permit you will receive system emails from This is the Georgia Department of Agriculture's third-party electronic system for the Georgia Hemp Program.
