Cicada Killers

Usually cicada killers are not a stinging hazard but their territorial behavior (generally flying at your face) terrifies people. Cicada killers are large wasps, varying in length from 1 to 1 1/2 inches, and are black or rusty colored with yellow bands on the abdomen.
